Help to figure out a singer...?

In mid-late eighties/early nineties there was a video clip. A blond woman with curly hair was singing a song (ballad type). The background was something like a pulsating heart symbol... I have no memory of the lyrics (english). A fragment of the melody is something like

(cb..ag#..)

(dd.e.d.c)

(.ab..c..)

(...db...)

(..ee.a..) two last e-s are octave lower...

Would be great if someone could actually figure out who the singer was! ;-)
