I've known her for seriously 35 years - since kindergarten. We've been hanging out together for the past 3-4 years. She started out taking little things like my hair clips or lip gloss, which I've found in her purse. Then, she progressed to my MAC lipstick. That's $18 a tube, which again I've found in her purse after she told me she didn't have it. I also found her wearing one of my bracelets that she didn't ask to borrow and refused to take off until the end of the evening. She's also borrowed a $30 pair of earrings that she know claims she never wore. Here's the big one. I had a 1 ct. diamond ring in my pickup that I was going to take to be resized. It was in the original box in the console. It's gone. Everything else is there: a cell phone, Ray Ban sunglasses, CD's, but the ring is gone. I lock my pickup everywhere I go, so it had to be taken by someone who had access to my pickup. I went out with her a few weeks ago. Do you think she took it? She's not a kid, she's 40

Yeah, I think she took it. The best advice I can give is go to the police. Tell them what has been going on and you suspect her of taking your ring - make sure you have proof that she took the ring first. Then cut her out of your life. You don't deserve to have friends who can't respect you or your belongings.
