There is no such thing as a "Miniature Yorkshire Terrier." There IS a such thing as a Yorkshire Terrier. If a breeder, or someone else, claims to have a "Miniature" dog of the breed, they're lying. Most likely, they have a dog that was bred down and, therefore, will not be healthy. "Miniature" and "Teacup" are terms used by backyard breeders to sell dogs that are not breed standard sized to people, for ridiculous amounts of money.

Hey, BTW, thanks for the e-mails, kimberle. I found them entertaining. If your "vet" told you there's a such thing, you need to get a new vet. I don't have to look at the Yorkshire Terrier breed standard on akc.org to know that Miniatures is NOT a size. And, until the breed standard clarifies it as a size, it will not be, thank you. Thanks for the entertaining messages! Gave me a good laugh!

I have a really cute Yorkshire Terrier named Boi and it is so pampered and spolied. I love dressing it up and putting barettes in it's hair. I buy her everything! I love either carrying her around in my hand or in pooch jewel encrusted purse! She's such a drama queen diva like moi! Toodles!

I have a miniture Yorkie. She is 4 years old and 3 pounds. When I got her she was 4 months old and less than a pound. We think she was the runt of the little. Her name is Sky after the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I call her Ky, Kyie, Ky-Ky, Sky, Skyie, Kyack, lol. I love pampering her. She's my little baby. I buy her clothes, t-shirts, dresses, polo shirts, tank tops, an elvis jailhouse rock outfit, even a down pink winter coat with detachable hood. The thing is she's a total tom boy and is happier to roll around and get dirty than to have me dress her up. Infact, she learned how to undress herself is she decides she doesn't like an outfit. At the groomers they try putting ribbons in her hair but it gets her really really mad so we no longer do that. If she was more girly I would definately dress her up more. She has a few doggie carry bags, and I love to buy her toys. I even designed her an abercrombie tank top out of one of my own shirts. I love my little girl :)
