Is this bulimia?

i was talking to a friend and her little sister has been really weird latley

we are really worries

we think she might have bulemia, as we accidently dropped her diary on a page when looking for hair clips in her room, being normal humans we could help but read this page, we know it was rong, but the page read..

"last nite in the meal i ate at least the most as i could, then went to the toilets! but lucy came with me and i was sick, but she didnt get onto it because i just told her i felt sik, i really need too exercise, i wish i was size 0 :("

we was really destraught reading this as she has an amazing figure and is only a size 6 in uk sizes

she is only 14 and we are really concerned.

can some help us, let us know what this is, and how we should deal with it.

she does regularly go the toilet after meals and is in there for a long period of time.

please help :(

Is this bulimia?

I suffered from bulliemia for a long time. its a very horrible thing to go through and you need to find out as much as you can before you approach her about it. her parents should be contacting the doctor and the hospital... she needs professional help... use shock tactics... find some pictures of anorexic people and show them to her.... show her what is going to happen if she doesnt stop and that she will die. size 0 is NOT healthy and you need to make sure she knows she is perfect the way she is! good luck and email me if you wanna talk about it anymore. xx

Is this bulimia?

Yeah, it's serious. You need to talk to her parents

Is this bulimia?

If she does have an eating disorder, she probaly be really secretive about it. I wouldnt tell her parents straight away, first i would confront her- or her sister could? It's so horrible when your parents drag you to the doctor over stuff and insist on talking to you about it. I admit though, at some point they need to know-I would just let her sister talk to her first (sometimes people are more open that way) and then let her sister take it from there. xxx

That's very worrying. That poor girl. :( She certainly has disordered attitudes towards food, and should be kept an eye on.

Don't get too stressed - for all you know what she writes in her diary bears no resemblance to reality; at that age, mine was almost entirely fiction - but she should be unobtrusively watched to see if there's a real problem. And if she does have an ED, you can bet your socks she'll deny it. Watch her behaviour.

Those are signs of bulimia!! She should seek professional help because this eating disorder can be fatal!! Please get her some help! Bulimics deny their eating habits!!
