How often should I clip/shave my saddlebred gelding?

He wears a blanket in the winter so the fur on his barrel and back is shortish...his shoulders, neck, and legs have longer hair though. Should we clip his whole body, or just his legs, ears, and other places you do for shows? Or not clip him?

It depends on how long you want his hair! My riding instructors horses forlock went down to his nostrils because she liked it long! So it is u 2 u

Clip it so it's the same length all over. But if you're going to show him, check to see "what's in style" for clipping at the time. And of course you will need to do his face, ears and legs.

If the hair is extremely thick and long to look nice clip it it not try to let it shed naturally it'll look nicer .Still clip the usual things for your shows.
