Recently I had my long-haired mini maltese terrier clipped and now he has barely any hair, my cat doesn't like him very much now that he looks so different and I don't know what to do. They were really close until my cat got neutered and my dog got clipped. My cat keeps chasing him around trying to swipe him in an agressive manor and I'm worried he might blind him or something. Has anybody got any suggestions to help me bring them closer together again or is my cat not going to like my dog until his hair grows back? Also does anybody know how long it takes for the testosterone to leave the body?

I think the cat and dog will patch it up, probably before the hair grows back. Try not to intervene if nobody is getting hurt. Usually small dogs are quick enough not to get scratched. Does the dog still want to be friends with the cat? It takes only a week or so for most male hormones to leave the body after neutering, although if he was an adult tom, he may have some HABITS that don't respond as you might wish after neutering. Much behavior is learned, rather than biochemically induced.
